"This morning a loved one inquired, was the trip to Spain worth the expense, time and exhaustion?
Expensive, yes. Time consuming, yes. Exhausting, yes.
However, at age 56 I have spent much more for far less. wasted precious time and treaded water to the point of exhaustion only to remain in place."
On January 20, 2008, Sr. Christopher, a solitary was ordained a priest at the hands of Bishop Claudio of Spain. The ordination of the American woman from Brunswick County Virginia gave witness to the inclusive nature of God and the struggle of many women to become fully the people God intended.
"The winds of change will continue to blow. Like trees on a mountain ridge we can develop thick trunks and be strengthened as we bend and face the light. We have the ability, the intellect, the spirit of Christ within, no less than our brothers."
During the twelve years in the woods the solitary served as a volunteer in hospice care, prison chaplaincy, worship leader, inmate advocate and writer with one goal, "that all may be one..." Etiketter: eremit, kvinnliga präster |
